He resides in Littleton with his wife Noel, and sons Clayton and Cameron.
Reasons to join Band and Orchestra at Deer Creek:
- Band and Orchestra are electives during the school day EVERY DAY! No more showing up early or missing other classes just to come to rehearsal.
- We have one of the strongest Middle School program in Jeffco : 42 selected to All-County Band/Orchestra in 2020 (most in Jeffco from 1 school), most Solo/Ensemble superior ratings (41) and perfect scores (6) in 2019. The only Colorado Bandmaster's Association Exemplary Band Award earned in Jefferson County in 2019.
- Trips to lots of different places. We’ve taken overnight trips to Grand Junction, Canon City, Glenwood Springs, and also participate in festivals at Elitch’s and all over Denver.
- When we travel, we do it in style. We take charter buses equipped with TVs and WiFi on all of our overnight trips.
- More Festivals and Concerts than Elementary School. We have field trips during the school day that usually end with time at the mall for shopping and lunch. Also, there are many more performance opportunities with our program.
- All-County Band and Orchestra. If you are selected when you audition, you get to participate in a full day of rehearsal and play with a giant ensemble of the best musicians in Jefferson County.
- MORE VARIETY! We offer 3 Bands, 2 Orchestras, Jazz Band, Solo and Ensemble (open to all musicians), and our 8th grade students can march with Chatfield’s marching band.
- Tired of your instrument? Make a switch! Deer Creek has several school instruments available, including: tuba, bass clarinet, double French horn, bass trombone, bassoon, piccolo, tenor and bari sax, full marimbas, and a host of top of the line percussion equipment. If you want to play it, we have it.
- We learn a lot, but have A BLAST in the process! Mr. Sudano loves to combine hard work and clear instruction with humor and a passion for music to help each student succeed. Music will be one of your favorite classes throughout the day at Deer Creek.
